Concert Band

At the end of the marching season the Dowling Marching Band forms into the Dowling Concert Band.   One concert band rather than two is formed in order to attain a higher quality of musical performance.  This provides fuller instrumentation to the larger group and gives more opportunity and space for subdivision within the band for sectional work.   Chair placements are based on a live audition.

The Concert Band appears at four concerts each year, the Band Extravaganza in November, the Christmas Concert in December, the Deep Maroon Serenade in February, and a Spring Concert in May.
